Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," posted Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced passing more hours together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order issued a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a public database citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the tragedy, public figures offered different responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and suggested they demonstrated a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by remarking that an associate ought to have acted when the decision to speak on the tragedy was made.
